FJR1300AS

Class action
Sleek, classy, comfortable, fast, satisfying and handles like it’s on rails. The FJR1300 ticks all the boxes in bold pen, so it’s no wonder it’s our most popular sports tourer.
The world’s first supersport touring bike, the FJR1300 boasts standard ABS and adjustable ergonomics, in a rigid, lightweight aluminium frame and sportbike running gear. Our advanced air management system and adjustable bodywork keep the FJR rider looking and feeling cool, while a pushbutton adjustable windscreen and thick comfy seat for two are perfect for comfortable, long-distance riding.
FJR continues to be available in a standard clutch model and an auto clutch electric shift AS model that gives riders the chance to shift gear via a left side bar mounted paddle switch. It’s the gifted athlete who has the legs, the looks, the natural talent… and just happens to be a nice bloke as well.
JEWEL PURPOSE
Intricately designed to take hi-tech touring to the next level with its advanced aerodynamics, environment-friendly technology and sophisticated rider safety and comfort features, the FJR brings with it a clear duality of spirit.
Just stir that electric-smooth 1300cc fuel injected, in-line four, and you’ll see that the combination beautifully neutral handling, sportsbike running gear and a low C of G adds up to a sublime sports touring ownership experience.
FEATURES
♦ Slant-block engine design uses stacked, tri-axis gearbox shafts that help minimise powerplant size while optimising chassis geometry for balanced weight distribution and great handling.
♦ Lightweight forged pistons with carburised connecting rods provide superb strength and reduced reciprocating mass for outstanding high-rpm durability.
♦ Patented electroplated ceramic composite cylinder bores ensure greater heat dissipation and thus reduced frictional power loss.
♦ Advanced fuel injection system is ideal for long-distance supersport-touring, delivering crisp throttle response in a variety of altitude/weather conditions.
♦ Gearshift shaft features a needle-roller bearing to reduce friction for silky-smooth shifting.
♦ Shaft final drive system is super-durable and virtually maintenance-free.
♦ Wet-sump oil system uses an easy access cartridge-type oil filter mounted on the engine’s left side.
