XV1900AS Roadliner S

OLD STYLE, NEW TECHS, SURPRISING OUTCOME
Yamaha’s XV1900AS is a titillating test for the cerebrum.
Is it neo or retro, contrast or contradiction, old world classic or post-modern masterpiece?
Yamaha’s XV1900 has the freshest look in classic cruiser styling, but it achieves this by building upon a concept in transport design straight out of the 1930s … The Streamliner Moderne.
Pulsing with unique style, the Roadliner mates traditional pushrod design with crisp fuel injection and EXUP exhaust valve performance in a 1854cc masterpiece. The roll-on acceleration at your disposal for highway overtaking is massive.
Only Yamaha could have dared to build, and succeeded in building, this rolling megacruiser artwork that goes, steers and stops with assurance …this ultra moderne classic that’s straight out of yesteryear - and refreshingly original at the same time.
FEATURES
♦ EXUP (Exhaust Ultimate Power valve) system inside the two-into-one exhaust system boosts torque in the 2500-3000-RPM range.
♦ Twin-bore downdraft fuel injection ensures optimum engine efficiency and throttle response in the widest possible range of conditions.
♦ Classic-clock style instrumentation complements Roadliner’s neo-retro look, and contains analogue speedometer, tachometer and fuel gauge, along with twin digital tripmeters, odometer and self-diagnostics.
♦ Neo-Streamline Design: includes the first seamless fuel tank fitted to a Star, giving the Roadliner a completely distinctive look.
♦ 113-cubic inch (1854cc) air-cooled, pushrod V-twin features machined fin edges for a jewel-like appearance as light hits it from different angles.
♦ Exclusive to Yamaha’s Roadliner 1900, this spurred swingarm provides stable road holding and a one-of-a-kind look.,br>♦ A thick chromed handlebar in polished one-piece clamp carries switchgear wiring on the inside for a clean, purposeful look.
♦ Belt final drive routes power smoothly and efficiently to the rear wheel for smooth lag-free take up when you activate that monstrous low-rpm torque.
♦ Twelve-spoke wheels evoke the Streamliner look, and then juxtapose it with modern tubeless radial tires.
♦ Aluminium frame is light, rigid, and requires few welds. A light, Controlled-Fill swingarm casting complements the bike’s streamline style.
♦ With 49.6 percent of its weight carried on the front wheel, the Roadliner has the weight distribution of a sports bike instead of the typical cruiser, and that means great handling.
♦ 46mm fork tubes wearing slant-cut stainless covers serve up an excellent ride and a sweet appearance.
♦ Floating floorboards and an adjustable heel/toe shifter help provide a comfortable, low-effort ride.
♦ Long and low aluminium frame provides great looks and light handling unlike any other mega-cruiser, thanks to near 50/50 weight distribution on the front and rear wheels.
♦ Plated cylinders and forged pistons cooled by oil jets provide outstanding reliability and long life. Twin counter-balancers keep things smooth without compromising that glorious V-twin pulse.
♦ 9.5:1 compression ratio and aggressive cam timing increase power output across the board.
♦ Computer-controlled, twin-bore, fuel-injection monitors multiple engine parameters to calculate perfect mixture under all conditions; a wide-angle 12-hole fuel injectors provide excellent atomization.
