Raptor 250
Ferocious Featherweight
There’s a good reason why the Raptor 250R looks every bit as purposeful and aggressive as its bigger, more powerful brethren, because this 250 has one performance attribute that even they can’t match.
The Raptor 250R boasts a level of handling responsiveness that makes it an absolute blast to ride… hard… all day long. Which is a good thing, because once you try it, that’s all you’ll want to do. It’s electric-starting air-cooled engine is as torquey as it is tough, pumping out broad, useable power through a class-exclusive five-speed manual transmission. When combined with long travel suspension, class leading light weight and a low seat height, it adds up to primal sports performance.
Raptor 250 means serious fun.
♦ Light and powerful 249cc air-cooled SOHC four-stroke single produces a deceptively broad powerband. Five-speed gearbox with manual clutch provides the flexibility to tackle pretty much any track or trail.
♦ Compact, light and strong chassis creates a quick, super-responsive high-performance package. Low-profile 19-inch rear tires for outstanding traction and handling.
♦ Lightweight aluminium wheels reduce unsprung weight for excellent suspension performance, acceleration, deceleration and handling. Triple hydraulic disc brakes deliver excellent stopping power even in wet conditions.
♦ Low, 815mm seat height allows optimal rider movement and combines with inherent low weight to optimise handling and enhance rider comfort.
♦ Easy-adjust eccentric chain adjustment feature means hassle-free chain maintenance. Easy-to-use, flip-type handlebar-mounted parking brake can be set with one hand.
♦ Oil cooler keeps engine temps down and lubrication up in hot conditions, while ceramic composite cylinder liner for greatly reduced wear and excellent heat dissipation.
