OFF-ROAD FUN FOR RIDERS OF ALL AGES
The TT-R125 maintains the competitiveness of the existing model as a “fun riding bike” and adopts measures to improve the handling characteristics and riding comfort while adopting new styling element that create a look even closer to the YZ image. The result is a machine with excellent overall balance for an even wider range of uses by riders of different skill levels.
Front suspension with 31 mm diameter inner tubes
The front suspension of a motorcycle has the dual functions to provide suspension cushioning while also serving as important structural member of the chassis that plays a critical role in determining the overall rigidity of the chassis. For this new model the front suspension has been completely re-designed with a front fork adopting 31 mm diameter inner tubes (existing model was 30 mm). The damping force and spring rate have been optimized and the structure of the damper valve has been optimized with fraction of tenth millimeter precision. This produces outstanding cushioning characteristics with especially good strength in the near-bottoming range.
As with the existing model, there is an initial load adjustment mechanism to enable a variety of different settings. The rigidity of the front suspension has also been increased to make the handling even sharper in character.
New-design flat seat for increased comfort and competitiveness
A new flat seat design with a larger sitting area that enables greater freedom of riding position is adopted. To accommodate the new shape the hardness of cushion material has been increased by 10% to ensure greater seating comfort even in longer rides as well as a good sense of fit when shifting weight.
New-design fuel tank and air scoop
A new-design 6-liter plastic resin fuel tank is adopted. Also a newly designed air scoop covers the tank, giving an impression reminiscent of the YZ models.
New-design exterior body parts
To achieve a body look that is even closer to the YZ models, the parts of the fuel tank assembly have been redesigned and other new exterior parts have been adopted to harmonize with the new design.
These include, (1) the race number plate, (2) the front fender, (3) the side covers and battery cover, (4) the rear fender, (5) muffler (silencer) and (6) the quality-look silencer cap of the 4-stroke YZ type (stainless steel / low-gloss silver).
The new styling is characterized by the flowing bodylines.
New throttle wire assembly
To achieve a throttle operation feeling that is smooth and light, the throttle wire assembly spec has been changed to reduce operational load.
